Position Summary
The JP Intake Screener will work closely with the JP Navigators and the JP Manager. They will be responsible for assisting program staff to provide a full range of services including but not limited to: process approved cash management requests, maintain professional relationship with families, team members and other agencies in order to provide required services, provide administrative support services to Navigators and Manager, develop and coordinate administrative tasks available for all case files.
Responsibilities
Assist with data entry of client files
Assist with collection, maintenance, and distribution of Jordan’s Principle statistical information Assist staff with coordination and preparation of materials of meetings, workshops, training sessions as required Receive & route calls to appropriate team members Updating client case files with new information Filing of forms, documents, letters as required Sending appropriate documents to other agencies Requesting supporting documentation Keep clients up to date with information and decisions that affect them General administrative duties Liaison between family and JP Navigators Advocate for client needs Assist with case conferencing between worker and clients Other duties as assigned.
Education
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Office Administration Certification
Experience in Business Administration and/or Office Administrative duties.
Relevant education and/or experience may be considered
Grade 12 Diploma
Knowledge, Skills And/Or Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in computer software/database applications (i.e., Microsoft Office) Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate documentation and records Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and organizational skills required to develop effective working relationships with First Nation staff, administration, community members and external partners.
Maintain confidentiality and safe keeping of agency/client information
Knowledge of community services, urban services and resources Demonstrated knowledge of first nations history, from colonization to present day, this includes but not limited to the emotional, psychological and spiritual effects of first nations people Possess an understanding of Inherent and Treaty Rights, traditions, culture, language and history and ability to provide service from a holistic family systems framework of practice that honors and respects First Nations governance, authority and aspirations; Knowledge of the political, social and economic objectives of the Saskatoon Tribal Council and of the Dakota, Cree, and Saulteaux cultures will be considered Asset would be Working knowledge of Jordan’s Principle’s mission, history and process

Must provide a current, original, Canadian Criminal Record Check (CCRC) with vulnerable sector search as a condition of employment.
