Business Development & Partnerships Associate - Winnipeg, MB
As a Business Development & Partnerships Associate, you'll support Western's growth strategy by helping build and strengthen partnerships across Canada. Working closely with the Director, Business Development, you'll assist with prospect research, partner engagement, business presentations, reporting, event coordination, and partnership initiatives that drive meaningful business growth.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, staying organized, creating professional presentations, and supporting strategic initiatives while developing a career in business development and partnership management. You'll gain exposure to the full partnership lifecycle while working alongside an experienced business development leader.
Here Is What a Typical Day Looks Like
Support the Director, Business Development with partnership development activities and strategic growth initiatives. Research prospective association and business partners and identify opportunities for outreach and engagement. Create and maintain presentations, proposals, briefing materials, reports, and business development documentation. Analyze and organize partnership data, pipeline activity, and performance metrics to support business planning. Assist with trade shows, conferences, events, registrations, logistics, and post-event follow-up activities. Collaborate with Marketing and internal business partners on campaigns, communications, and partner engagement initiatives. Track action items, maintain accurate records, and help ensure successful execution of partnership initiatives. Engage confidently with external stakeholders while supporting the operational and administrative needs of the Business Development team.
The value you bring
2+ years of experience in business development, sales support, partnership coordination, marketing, administration, customer-facing support, or a related field. Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to build rapport and professional relationships. Confidence engaging with stakeholders and representing Western in a professional manner. Strong attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Strong organizational skills and the ability to create polished presentations, reports, and business documents. Experience supporting business development, partnerships, insurance, association management, or customer-facing teams is considered an asset. Level 1 Insurance Licence considered an asset.

Hours/Duration: Full Time, Permanent - 37.5 hours/week
Location: Hybrid - Winnipeg MB Current Vacancy: Yes Requisition #: 83105 Compensation Range: $55,000 - $70,000
