Position Overview: About The Role: The Regional Planner drives retail and e-commerce growth for Canada Goose within their assigned market. This role executes end-to-end inventory management- including allocation and reverse logistics- while optimizing door-level assortments based on rigorous sales & inventory analysis ensuring that product is in the right place at the right time. Acting as a critical cross-functional hub, the Regional Planner collaborates with Product Planning, Merchandising, Supply Planning, Operations, and Channel leads (among other stakeholders) to maximize regional turnover and support corporate growth strategies. Inventory Allocations & Optimization: Product Allocation: Ensure the right product goes to the right place in the region through product allocations by reviewing sales performance vs. current inventory levels at the size level. Stock-Out Prevention: Deploy weekly rush allocations to prioritize door-level top-ups. New Product Launches: Assess the flow of "New Product" pushes ahead of launch, determine initial replenishment strategies by door are met adequately, and solve for risks in advance. Lifecycle Management: Adjust assortment matrices based on inventory positions, to trigger replenishment halts, consolidations, or returns. Archive Store Support: Execute targeted inventory top-ups for regional archive locations. Channel Stock Balancing: Analyze inventory composition against cross-channel sales to balance stock. Seasonal Buys & Assortment Planning: Seasonal Assortment Plans: Build bottoms-up seasonal assortment plans that align with financial targets, customer insights, and regional strategic growth strategies. Tailored Assortment Strategies: Partner with retail and e-commerce leads to tailor specific assortment strategies and SKU rationalization using historical data and trend analysis. Post-Market Forecasts: Present post-market seasonal forecasts for the region to internal stakeholders during buy reviews and milestone meetings. Sales Forecast Revisions: Own sales forecast revisions based on market trends and performance indicators. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Multi-Channel Long-Range Planning: Build effective partnerships with retail and e-commerce teams to implement multi-channel product forecasts and long-range plans (LRP). Weekly Inventory Alignment: Lead weekly meetings with retail and e-commerce teams to recap top style inventory positions, call out risks, and align on forward focus and upcoming marketing initiatives. Store Development: Participate in regional Store Development meetings. Visual Merchandising Synergy: Work with Visual Merchandising (VM) teams on retail window rotations. Commercial Momentum Support: Collaborate with Product Planning, Supply Chain, and Sales Operations for incremental inventory needs and delivery timing to sustain regional sales momentum. Cross-Channel Flexibility: Provide cross-channel support when required, specifically addressing ad-hoc customer requests. Analytics & Reporting: Performance Analysis: Responsible for the ongoing analysis of sell-through and inventory health at the SKU/door level to identify risks, spot opportunities, and lead corrective action plans. Business Recaps: Manage weekly business reporting and recaps tailored for retail and e-commerce channels. Post-Season Deep Dives: Develop post-season analyses to directly inform future product buys and strategic planning decisions. Continuous Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the region through data-driven insights and tools. About You: 5+ years of experience in Merchandise Planning, or Assortment Planning (within fashion or apparel a plus). Advanced Excel skills; experience with planning systems preferred. Strong knowledge & understanding of retail math, stock optimization, and assortment planning. Proven analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business recommendations. Strong time management, organizational skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. The range provided is intended as a guideline and does not represent a guaranteed offer.
