Role Description The Maintenance Planner is a full-time, on-site role based in West Hill/Scarborough Ontario. This role is responsible for developing and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance plans to support safe and efficient operations. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating maintenance activities, preparing work orders, updating equipment histories, and ensuring the availability of parts, tools, and resources. The Maintenance Planner collaborates closely with maintenance technicians, operations personnel, and supervisors to prioritize work, minimize downtime, and align maintenance plans with production needs. The role also involves maintaining accurate maintenance records, monitoring work progress, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance processes and reliability.
Qualifications
Strong Maintenance Planning and Planning skills to develop, schedule, and prioritize maintenance work effectively. Knowledge of Equipment Maintenance practices and Maintenance Management principles to support reliable, safe operation of assets. Supervisory Skills to coordinate with maintenance teams and operational staff, and to provide clear instructions and follow-up. Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic proficiency with MS Office or similar tools. Solid understanding of industrial or manufacturing environments, preferably within refining, chemical, or logistics operations. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, with a focus on safety and compliance. Ability to work on-site in Toronto, ON and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting. Relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or engineering degree in a maintenance, mechanical, or industrial discipline is an asset.
