We are hiring multiple Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics (Red Seal) to join our team at Conuma, Tumbler Ridge on a 14 x 14 Continuous Shift rotation. This role offers an opportunity to work on ultra-class Caterpillar mining equipment for the biggest players in the industry. If you are a customer focused Heavy Duty Mechanic (with Red Seal endorsement); looking for stability and career growth APPLY TODAY! - $55.28 - $61.42 (base rate + regional wage allowance, probationary to full rate) o $2.55 Remote Mine Premium o $3.25 Night Shift Premium o Double Time OT - Shift: 14 x 14 - 15 additional scheduled weeks off a year! - Travel & Accommodation Support: Up to $1,000 travel allowance per rotation - OT paid at Double time - Share Purchase options (with matching) and Employer paid Pension - 100% Employer paid medical and dental benefits - CAT certified training: Additional certifications and skill development paid for by Finning Job Description: As a Heavy Duty Mechanic with Conuma, Tumbler Ridge, you’ll troubleshoot and repair a variety of Caterpillar mining equipment such as haul trucks, graders, shovel and dozers leveraging your technical knowledge to build trust, solve challenges, and deliver the reliability our customers depend on. Your work will include: Field diagnosis and running repairs of CAT Equipment in a field environment Interface with customers, products and sales support Large‑scale overhauls and rebuilds Component replacements Completing required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communication Specific Skills & Experience Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic/ (HET) Certification Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract (5 Yr) 5+ Years Off Road Mechanical Experience recommended Experience with 793, 789 and 785 haul trucks, D10 dozers, 395 HEX, 6015 shovels and 224/18/16 Motor Graders Computer literacy along with Finning S-level courses Previous repair experience on the Caterpillar mining and general line product lines would be considered an asset Important Information: This is a site position, located at Conuma Resources on a 14 x 14 continuous shift rotation, with a marshalling point of Chetwynd/Tumbler Ridge 10% Regional Wage Adjustment Applicable for Employees Living in Area (Travel Allowance and Company Accommodation not applicable) A condition of employment includes the ability to obtain Customer Site Access (Drug & Alcohol screening, and may include Fitness testing) Union Membership: This is a unionized position.
