Breka Bakery Group is looking for a Baker to work in our Cake production team at our central kitchen!

Are you passionate creating delicious cakes and willing to gain more experience as a baker? This job is for you! We are a fast-paced production team making variety of cake for our 8 Breka stores. Looking for an individual who has experience as a baker minimum 1 year or/and completion of vocational school majoring baking/pastry arts, and desires to join our team to grow together!

Regularly voted among Vancouver’s best bakeries and cafes, it offers high-quality and reasonably priced coffee, bread, donuts, pastries, sandwiches, cakes, cookies and more – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year – in its 8 locations.

SHIFT HOURS & WAGE:

8hours shifts per day between 7am - 3pm, 5days/week

• Open schedule to work flexible days and time is required including WEEKENDS and HOLIDAYS

COMPENSATION:

• Starting Wage $19hr
• Wage increase based on your performance
• 4 months’ Probation period

WHAT A DAY WOULD LOOK LIKE:

• Measure and mix ingredients using commercial mixer
• Mainly prep duties
• Make a Ganache
• General cleaning of the station

REQUIREMENTS:

• Have 1+ year EXPERIENCE in commercial bakery setting and/or completion of vocational school majoring baking/pastry arts
• Must be able to lift heavy equipment 20-25kg
• Passionate to produce high quality products consistently
• Hard-working and high energy is a must
• Responsible and be dependable to show up for all shifts
• Positive attitude and able to take direction well
• Self-motivated and can work independently but in a team as well
• Understand work efficiency well and thrive to improve the productivity
• Must be available to work WEEKENDS and HOLIDAYS
