Position Summary
We’re looking for a Mechanical Pipeline EIT who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, learn from experienced engineers, and contribute to projects that keep critical energy and infrastructure systems moving.
This role is ideal for someone early in their engineering career who wants exposure to the full project lifecycle, from concept development and detailed design to field support and project execution. You'll work alongside Pipeline Engineers, Project Managers, Designers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, safe, and efficient pipeline solutions for our clients.
You'll be involved in engineering calculations, design development, technical documentation, specifications, and deliverables, while building a strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices. Just as importantly, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions, solve real-world challenges, and gain hands-on experience that accelerates your professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Engineering and Design Support the design of pipeline systems, including routing, tie-ins, and facility interfaces Develop and interpret P&IDs and pipeline schematics Assist with line sizing, pressure system considerations, and material selection Contribute to the design of valve sites, pigging facilities, and pipeline appurtenances Support pipeline-related facility design, including metering, compression, and pumping systems Engineering Deliverables Prepare and maintain line lists, valve lists, MTOs, and Bills of Materials Support development of engineering drawings and pipeline design packages Prepare equipment datasheets and technical documentation Participate in design reviews and constructability discussions Coordinate with process, civil, electrical, and other engineering disciplines Procurement and Technical Support Assist with Material Requisitions (MRs) and Scopes of Work (SOWs) Support RFQ/RFP processes and vendor coordination Participate in Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs) Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with design requirements Project Execution and Field Support Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning Assist with field walkdowns, redlines, and as-built updates Support troubleshooting and resolution of design issues during execution Contribute to change management and project documentation
Qualifications
Experience
2+ years of engineering experience in pipeline or oil & gas projects Direct experience supporting pipeline design or pipeline facilities engineering is required Experience within EPC/EPCM or owner/operator environments is preferred Exposure to mainline pipelines, gathering systems, or facility tie-ins is an asset
Technical Knowledge
Working knowledge of pipeline systems and piping design principles Familiarity with mechanical systems associated with pipeline infrastructure Knowledge of key industry codes and standards such as CSA Z662, ASME B31.3 / B31.1, and applicable API standards Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, pipeline alignment drawings, and specifications
Software
Experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or similar design tools Experience with Navisworks or other 3D model review tools Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Bluebeam
Education and Designation
Degree in Mechanical Engineering Registered or eligible as an Engineer in Training (EIT) Core Competencies Strong attention to detail and commitment to engineering quality Ability to work in a fast-paced, design-focused EPCM environment Effective communication with engineers, project teams, and vendors Proactive, accountable, and motivated to build pipeline-specific expertise
