Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary FDI Services Inc. is currently seeking a Journeyman Electrician for our City of Edmonton Waste Management Centre Facility in Edmonton, AB. The successful candidates will be responsible for safely executing Electrical duties in a facilities maintenance setting. Responsibilities Troubleshoot electrical and control system Install/replace/repair/maintain electrical systems including but not limited to; circuits, motors, low & high voltage systems, sub-panels, feeders, transformers, lighting systems, heating/cooling systems, generations systems, bonding, grounding & cathodic protection systems Preventative/predictive maintenance May perform other related duties as assigned Job Requirements Committed to working safely and efficiently Excellent problem-solving skills required Good analytical ability and manual dexterity Successful candidates are required to have a valid Alberta driver’s license and provide a 5-year clean driver’s abstract Must be able to perform physically demanding work for a long duration of time Must be able to perform duties at heights Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision Must be able to complete all pre-access training as identified prior to mobilization Trade Requirements Electrical Journeyperson certificate from a recognized provincial training authority. Position Information Located at the City of Edmonton Waste Management Facility 12 hours of work per day (6pm to 6am) 4/4 Rotation Schedule - Weekend rotations apply $45.16/hr - Night Shift Position with Additional Hourly Premium of $3.00 an hour = $48.16/hr Dual Certification Premium (if applicable)

The Journeyman Electrician will troubleshoot, install, and maintain various electrical and control systems within the waste management facility. They are responsible for performing preventative and predictive maintenance on motors, transformers, and high/low voltage equipment.

Candidates must hold a valid Electrical Journeyperson certificate and possess a clean Alberta driver's license. The role requires the ability to perform physically demanding work at heights and work under minimal supervision.
