Job summary
Position: Enterprise Architect – Legal Entity Onboarding (Finance & Risk) Location: Onsite (4days/week)- Toronto, ON Job type: Full-time/Permanent hiring We are seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to provide end-to-end technical leadership for new legal entity onboarding and restructuring initiatives across our Finance and Risk technology landscapes. In this role, you will lead cross-functional architecture governance boards, partnering with Finance, Risk, Lines of Business, and core technology squads to run deep-dive impact assessments on dataflows, integrations, reporting channels, and controls frameworks. You will define the current-state, transition, and target-state architectures, map complex cross-application dependencies, and ensure that all onboarding blueprints align perfectly with financial and regulatory reporting compliance infrastructures. Key Responsibilities: Architect Legal Entity Onboarding: Lead the end-to-end structural enterprise architecture for legal entity additions, mergers, and restructuring across corporate landscapes. Execute Impact Assessments: Conduct technical impact evaluations across distributed Finance and Risk applications, downstream data lakes, integration pipelines, and reporting frameworks. Design Target-State Blueprints: Formulate clear current-state, transition-state, and long-term target-state solution architecture diagrams and technical capability models. Coordinate Multi-App Dependencies: Isolate, map, and track complex cross-application dependencies, platform architectural gaps, and deployment risks early in the entity onboarding lifecycle. Govern Technical Frameworks: Define secure data-flow patterns, transactional routing, and integration requirements across all impacted ledger, clearing, and accounting systems. Align Regulatory Reporting: Ensure legal entity attributes are flawlessly represented across statutory financial reports, risk vectors, and external regulatory reporting pipelines. Drive Architecture Governance: Direct cross-domain review boards, resolving complex structural disputes, and ensuring alignment with enterprise security and production readiness rules. Partner across Stakeholders: Lead technical conversations, translate financial requirements into system criteria, and align executive business sponsors with engineering teams. Required Skills: Primary: Enterprise Application Architecture, Legal Entity Integration Strategy, Finance & Risk Systems Architecture, Regulatory Reporting Alignment, Cross-Application Dependency Mapping. Tools/Frameworks: Enterprise Architecture Modeling Tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Visio, Sparx Enterprise Architect), TOGAF, Ledger & Sub-Ledger architectures, Risk Controls Frameworks. Database/Cloud: Financial Data Modeling, ETL Data Fabric Pipelines, API-led Integration patterns, Secure Multi-Cloud/Hybrid Infrastructures. Nice-to-Have: Broad knowledge of banking compliance (Basel III/IV, IFRS, Dodd-Frank, CCAR), Experience managing data sovereignty or corporate restructuring data boundaries.
