A dynamic organization is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This opportunity is well suited to an experienced accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of financial processes, working with complex financial information, and contributing to the accuracy and effectiveness of the broader finance function. Reporting to senior accounting leadership, this position will play an important role in the organization's accounting and financial reporting activities. The role combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with analysis, reporting, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to improve existing processes. What You'll Do Maintain accurate financial records and oversee accounting activities across assigned areas of the general ledger Complete detailed account and balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure outstanding items are resolved promptly Lead or contribute to monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities while ensuring reporting deadlines are met Prepare financial statements, management reports, supporting schedules, and detailed financial analysis Review financial results, investigate significant variances, and communicate relevant trends and findings to leadership Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Coordinate audit preparation by maintaining appropriate schedules, documentation, and supporting information Monitor compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and established financial procedures Partner with internal stakeholders to provide accounting guidance and support informed business decisions Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting practices, and overall efficiency Contribute to finance projects and other initiatives that strengthen the organization's financial operations What You Bring Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related discipline 2+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to general ledger functions CPA designation in progress is required Professional accounting designation or progress toward completion is preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements Experience working with ERP or accounting systems in a corporate environment Advanced spreadsheet, financial analysis, and data management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail Ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization A proactive approach to identifying issues, improving processes, and taking ownership of deliverables Why Join This is an opportunity to join a collaborative finance team where you'll have meaningful ownership over key accounting activities and visibility across the organization.
