Title: Project Procurement & Subcontracts Manager KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. KBR is seeking a Project Procurement & Subcontracts Manager to lead and manage all project procurement and subcontract activities from planning through closeout, ensuring alignment with project objectives, client requirements, and risk management goals. Oversee sourcing, bidding, negotiations, contract administration, and supplier/subcontractor performance while driving cost, schedule, quality, and commercial success. Serve as the primary commercial interface among clients, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders, ensuring contract compliance, risk mitigation, and effective change management. Provide leadership to procurement and subcontract teams, support global project execution, and champion continuous improvement of procurement processes and best practices. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Lead all project procurement and subcontract activities from planning through closeout. Develop and execute procurement and subcontracting strategies aligned with project objectives, client requirements, and risk management goals. Manage supplier and contractor sourcing, bidding, evaluations, negotiations, awards, and contract administration. Provide leadership and oversight to procurement and subcontract teams to ensure safe, compliant, and effective execution. Monitor cost, schedule, quality, and commercial performance, implementing corrective actions as required. Manage changes, risks, claims avoidance, and contract compliance throughout project execution. Coordinate closely with Engineering, Construction, Project Management, and other stakeholders. Serve as the primary commercial interface with clients, suppliers, contractors, and senior management. Drive continuous improvement of procurement and subcontracting processes, tools, and best practices. Support global project execution and coordination with international suppliers, contractors, and execution centers. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Science, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. 15+ years of procurement, purchasing, subcontracts, and commercial management experience within EPC project environments. Experience leading both procurement and subcontract functions on major capital projects. Strong knowledge of sourcing, purchasing, subcontract formation, contract administration, negotiations, and change management. Experience executing lump-sum and reimbursable projects in oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, chemical, energy, or industrial markets. Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and team development capabilities. Demonstrated commercial acumen with strong risk management and cost reduction experience. Experience working with international suppliers, contractors, and global execution teams. Familiarity with Canadian contracting practices, Alberta industrial markets, Indigenous procurement initiatives, and local content requirements is preferred. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Proficiency with contract management systems, e-procurement tools, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other business software. Ability to work in complex, schedule-driven environments and travel internationally as required.
