Accounting & Administration Manager Location: Putnam, ON Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm. Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year Benefits: Health benefits and RRSP matching available after 3-month probationary period Our client is seeking an Accounting & Administration Manager to oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, cash management, and day-to-day office administration. This role combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with leadership of Customer Service, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions. The successful candidate will be analytical, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Responsibilities Manage month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidated financial statements. Prepare budgets, rolling forecasts, cash flow forecasts, and financial analysis. Analyze financial performance, budget variances, profitability, and business trends; provide recommendations to management. Coordinate tax filings, CRA/sales tax audits, and supporting documentation. Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Oversee cash management, banking, and payment processes. Manage the General Ledger within the Ross ERP system and support financial process improvements. Oversee day-to-day office administration and supervise CSR, AR, and AP functions. Establish priorities, monitor workflow, and provide direction, coaching, and performance oversight to team members. Ensure effective coordination between Customer Service, Finance, Sales, and Operations. Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, service levels, and profitability. Coordinate insurance renewals and review contracts from a financial and operational perspective. Support acquisitions, business growth initiatives, and other strategic projects. Maintain documentation of processes and promote a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Perform other duties and special projects as required. Qualifications Accounting Designation 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills. Experience overseeing or coordinating AR, AP, and Customer Service functions. Strong ERP/system acumen; Ross ERP experience is an asset. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and adapt to change. Proactive, collaborative, and forward-thinking leadership approach. CPA designation or pursing CPA is an asset.
