Senior Content Designer (Contract) Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 4 Days Onsite) Duration: ASAP to October 13, 2027 Rate: Up to $75/hour T4 + 4% Vacation Pay Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM About the Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Content Designer to join a collaborative and established digital experience team. In this role, you will help shape customer-facing content across digital channels, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and an exceptional user experience. You will work closely with product owners, designers, researchers, and technology teams to create content that meets both customer needs and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Create and deliver content strategies and experiences across digital products, websites, and applications. Write, edit, proofread, and optimize customer-facing content. Apply plain language principles to simplify complex information. Ensure content complies with accessibility standards, including WCAG guidelines. Collaborate with product, design, and technology teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Participate in ideation workshops and design-thinking activities. Develop content solutions based on user-centred design methodologies and research insights. Support stakeholder communications, presentations, and content-related initiatives. Ensure content aligns with business objectives, compliance requirements, and customer needs. Partner with cross-functional teams to identify risks, provide recommendations, and drive content excellence. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in Content Design, Content Strategy, UX Writing, Conversation Design, or a related discipline. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Demonstrated expertise in plain language writing. Experience creating WCAG/accessibility-compliant content. Experience navigating and obtaining regulatory or compliance approvals. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams. Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience within the financial services industry. Experience supporting public-facing websites and digital platforms. Background in design-related disciplines such as: User-Centered Design Human-Computer Interaction Psychology Design Strategy Human Factors Visual Design Industrial Design Desired Soft Skills Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills. Self-motivated, adaptable, organized, and accountable. Passion for creating exceptional customer experiences. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
