Head of Information Security - Global Software Leader

Our client is a global software organisation, already recognised as a market leader, and set for significant growth. Its software is used by some of the world’s largest companies and it delivers award-winning, industry-changing solutions. As part of its continuing growth plans, we are recruiting a Director of Information Security. Security Strategy Build a measurable, business-aligned security strategy across technology, networks, data, applications, cloud, and the secure use of AI. Risk, Governance & Compliance Own enterprise security risk and the control framework; lead SOC 2 and ISO 27001 programs end to end; maintain audit and regulatory readiness. Security Operations & Resilience Direct threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and business continuity so the organization can prevent, withstand, and recover from attacks. Customer Trust & Commercial Enablement Enable enterprise sales and renewals by providing timely, credible, and risk-based customer assurance, including partnering with Legal on customer negotiations, security redlines, and contract provisions related to security, privacy, and compliance. People & Organizational Leadership Build, structure, and develop a high-performing security team grounded in speed, focus, simplicity, accountability, and a clear “stay secure” culture. Requirements: Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems. CISSP strongly preferred; CISM, CISA, CRISC, CCISO, or equivalent credentials considered an asset. 10+ years of progressive experience in information security, including 5+ years leading and directing security teams. Demonstrated experience owning enterprise security in a B2B SaaS or cloud-first / hybrid environment, including compliance programs (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and customer-facing security assurance. Experience securing AI / ML products and platforms and defining AI security governance. Background operating in regulated or enterprise-scale environments with executive level risk reporting. Track record maturing a security function from operational to strategic and using security as a commercial differentiator in enterprise deals. Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced environment with a bias for action, strong prioritization, simple communication, and disciplined execution.

The Head of Information Security will build a measurable, business-aligned security strategy and own enterprise security risk and compliance programs. They will also direct security operations and resilience efforts to ensure the organization can effectively respond to threats and maintain customer trust.

Candidates should have a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems, with CISSP preferred. They must have over 10 years of experience in information security, including leadership roles and experience in B2B SaaS or cloud environments.
