Job summary

We are currently seeking to fill a full-time Customer Service Representative (CSR) role in our Intermodal Business Unit Customer Service team in Winnipeg. Working within a team environment, the CSR will provide day to day support to customers and work closely with Driver Service Representatives (DSRs) to ensure customer specifications are met. Communicating with customers to receive and enter orders as well as following up with rail service providers to check the status on orders. The CSR will also work to maintain customer accounts, including monitoring customer activity, documenting any issues, identifying new accounts, reporting weekly sales and activities to management etc. A full description of this position will be discussed with qualified candidates at an interview. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in the office. This role requires an individual keenly interested in a transportation career with the following: * Experience in operations and/or customer service (2-3 years) * Strong people skills working within a team environment * Exceptional verbal & written communication skills to develop a long-term relationship with our customers by gathering details of the customers’ business, identifying opportunities and reviewing commercial contracts * Ability to problem solve & influence outcomes * Excellent time management and organizational skills in handling volume of work, changing demands and various sources of information * Proficient use of MS Office programs such as Outlook, Excel and Word * Experience with TruckMate (TMW) an asset * Attention to details and information to ensure accuracy and transfer information to affected team members * Strong commitment to customer service to monitor status of key accounts and respond to issues after hours. *we are located outside of public transportation in Oak Bluff, the successful candidate will need to have reliable transportation to attend work each day.
