Kleysen Group is looking for reliable, safety minded individuals to join our Edmonton Distribution Centre in a Full-Time Permanent Shunter position. Our Edmonton yard facility spans over 80 developed acres with rail services into our yard so that we can load and offload a variety of commodities including steel, construction materials, bulk and liquid products. Kleysen is also one of the 39 companies that make up the Mullen Group. We are looking for an experienced Shunter to join our team. Our safety team and foreman will work with you to learn the job and develop your skills to ensure a successful career in your new role. The Shift: 11.5-hour day shifts (6AM – 5:30PM) 5 on 4 off/4 on 5 off mixture The position: * Shunt/reposition tractors and various trailing equipment * Training will be provided on other roles in the yard so that shunter can assist where needed during their shift * The work is outdoors (all weather conditions), and we have indoor break and change rooms for women & men ON-THE-JOB TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED. Ideally the successful candidate will have: * Safety-first approach * Must have reliable transportation to and from work (no public transportation available) * Good physical condition (able to lift 50lbs) * Class 1 driving experience and/or a Class 1 drivers license is an asset * Strong work ethic and reliability to attend all shifts on time * Willingness to work overtime * Various heavy equipment operating experience is an asset * As this is a safety-sensitive position, candidates will be required to comply with our Controlled Substances policy (pre-employment/post-incident drug test is required) Why choose Kleysen?
