Role Description The Butcher role at kosher mehadrin is a full-time, on-site position based in Montreal, QC. The butcher will be responsible for cutting, trimming, deboning, and portioning various meats, according to company and kosher specifications. Day-to-day tasks include operating cutting and processing equipment, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and properly labeling and storing products. Qualifications Strong skills in butchery and meat processing, with the ability to cut, trim, and prepare a variety of meat products according to defined standards. Experience working with beef, including safe handling, cutting, and storage practices. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures . Ability to work on-site in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting moderate to heavy loads. Previous experience in a butcher shop, meat processing facility, or retail meat department is preferred. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
