Role Description The Bookkeeper is a full-time, on-site role based in Fredericton, NB, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. Key tasks include recording and reconciling transactions, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports. The role involves managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, maintaining ledgers, and ensuring that data is properly entered into accounting software. The Bookkeeper will collaborate with management to provide timely financial information, support budgeting and cash flow tracking, and help ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant financial regulations. Qualifications Ability to prepare, review, and interpret Financial Statements to support decision-making. Strong Bookkeeping skills, including general ledger maintenance and day-to-day transaction recording. Proficiency with Accounting Software (Sage 300) and related tools for data entry, reporting, and reconciliation. Solid understanding of Finance principles, including budgeting, cash flow, and basic cost tracking. Experience creating and posting Journal Entries accurately and in a timely manner. Relevant education in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with operational and management teams. Familiarity with Canadian accounting practices and standards; experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an asset.
