About the Role The Electrical Engineering department at L3HARRIS WESCAM is looking for a co-op student to work as a junior engineer on hands-on projects. You will work with your team to conduct various testing, analyses and presentations. The team offers a supportive learning environment where you will be provided with as much challenge as you are willing to undertake. Primary Responsibilities Work as part of the Electrical Engineering team to support new and existing product designs Perform parts selection, schematic capture and documentation tasks Verify, test and debug new and existing circuit card assemblies Investigate, analyze and recommend improvements for product reliability, performance and cost reductions Required Capabilities Some experience with a schematic capture package, Orcad preferred Electronic design skills shown through practical course work or experience Familiarity with standard test equipment like oscilloscopes, multi-meters and signal generators Strong mathematical and analysis skills Highly motivated self-starter Strong communication skills Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products Additional Capabilities Ability to thrive in a dynamic, matrixed environment Effective communication and presentation abilities with all levels of staff / peers / managers Proven ability to identify performance issues and implement the necessary changes in a timely and effective manner A self-starting, hands-on, eager to work approach Executes within a culture of accountability Exceptional problem solving skills The ability to see and apply thinking from a larger systemic perspective Desired Education and Experiences Enrollment in a Bachelors or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar) program Must be able to complete a 16 month Co-Op term with 12 month terms occasionally being available

Requirements
Candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or advanced degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proficiency in schematic capture software and familiarity with standard electronic test equipment are required.
