Java Full Stack Developer

Job summary

Design and develop full-stack web applications and backend services using Angular, Java Spring Boot, and Node.js. Build and troubleshoot APIs, integrate messaging, data storage, authentication, and AI capabilities, and support containerized deployments, automated testing, and release management.

Pay Range: CAD 55-60/hr Must-Have Qualifications • 8+ years professional software development experience building web applications and backend services. • Strong Angular (frontend) and Java Spring Boot (backend) experience; proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript. • Hands-on experience with Node.js and developing full-stack solutions (MEAN or similar stacks). • Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs. • Experience with message-based systems (Kafka) and in-memory stores (Redis). • Solid knowledge of relational databases (Postgres/SQL) and schema design. • Experience containerizing and running apps in cloud platforms and PaaS (Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes preferred). • Familiarity with API specifications and tooling (OpenAPI/Swagger); experience troubleshooting and testing APIs. • Practical experience with authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth2.0, JWT, OIDC) and certificate management. • Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and release management. • Hands-on experience using AI models or integrating ML/AI capabilities into applications. • Strong communication skills and experience working in Agile teams. Nice-to-Have • End-to-end UI automation testing (e.g., Cypress, Selenium, Playwright). • Experience with reactive, event-driven, or message-oriented architectures. • Deep experience in microservice design patterns (circuit breakers, resiliency, discovery, observability). • UX sensibility and experience collaborating closely with design teams. • Familiarity with SaaS monitoring and analytics tools (Dynatrace, Google Analytics, Firebase, LaunchDarkly, WalkMe).

Requirements

Candidates should also have experience with security protocols, CI/CD, automated testing, AI integration, and Agile collaboration.
