Role Description The Sign Installer is a full-time, on-site role based in Alberta, Canada. In this position, the team member will install a variety of interior and exterior sign systems, including wall-mounted signs, freestanding signs, illuminated signs, and digital displays. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting installation drawings, preparing materials and tools, safely operating equipment such as ladders, lifts, and hand tools, and ensuring signs are securely and accurately installed. The role also involves troubleshooting installation issues, performing basic repairs, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and interacting professionally with clients and team members. The Sign Installer collaborates closely with the production and design teams to deliver high-quality work that aligns with project specifications and customer expectations. Qualifications Installation and technical skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings, measure and mark installation locations accurately, and use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Construction and mechanical aptitude: Experience with basic carpentry, electrical awareness related to illuminated signs, and familiarity with hardware, fasteners, and mounting systems. Safety and physical requirements: Commitment to following safety procedures, comfortable working at heights, and ability to lift, carry, and position materials and equipment as required. Organization and problem-solving: Strong attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot installation issues on-site, and effective time management to meet project deadlines. Communication and teamwork: Clear communication with supervisors, coworkers, and clients, and ability to work collaboratively within a small, hands-on team environment. Licenses and experience: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; previous experience in sign installation, construction, or a related trade is an asset. Education and work style: High school diploma or equivalent; reliability, punctuality, and willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing project needs.
