Conceptualize and design buildings and develop plans describing design specifications, building materials, costs and construction schedules. Office management. Construction site supervision. Prepare sketches and models. Perform architectural research . Conduct feasibility studies of building projects. Supervision of technologists, technicians and other architects. Estimate costs. Proposal preparation. Write plans describing project specifications and construction schedules. Interior design (general). Monitor activities on construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. 3-4 people. Contractors. Staff in various areas of responsibility. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Membership in l'Ordre des architectes du Québec. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Computer and technology knowledge: Adobe Photoshop. MS Office. AutoCAD. Autodesk REVIT. SketchUp. Adobe Suite. InDesign. Architectural specialization: Public buildings. New construction. Renovation. Site inspections. Institutional. Interior and space planning. Restoration and/or preservation. Specialization or experience: Green economy sector. Specialized environmental skills and knowledge. Area of specialization: Drafting. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines. Attention to detail.
