The Securities Administrator focuses on accurately reflecting any changes, resulting from corporate actions, in the firm’s resource management software (Dataphile). This individual uses their deep understanding of both corporate action implications, and the software’s capabilities or limitations, to effectively process corporate action events in an accurate and timely manner. Key Responsibilities: Processing of Employee Option Exercises and Warrant Exercises for clients, with a legend removal component. Communicate effectively with external Issuers and their Legal Counsels, Transfer Agents, and internal Leede departments. Processing of Physical Warrant exercises, expirations, accelerations, and answering general inquiries involving warrants held in custody. Preparation of wire transfers to Issuers. Processing deposits and withdrawals of physical certificates in CDS, DTC and with our foreign custodian. Respond to broker inquiries in a timely manner. Perform additional responsibilities or projects as assigned. Maintain an openness to cross-train and learn other areas of the Securities Services Department to provide support where necessary. Minimum of 1-3 years of securities industry experience. Previous experience handling physical stock certificates, warrants, and DRS is an asset. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Strong customer service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines is essential. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team (team player perspective is key). Hard-working, positive, dedicated and prepared to work overtime when necessary. Strong level of MS Outlook, Excel and Word required. Familiarity with Dataphile, CDS and DTCC. Rights and Warrants – Process the distribution of rights and warrants and manage any exercise instructions received via Investment Advisor correspondence.
