The school invites qualified candidates to apply for the following position: Position: Secondary School French Teacher Reports to: Secondary School Director Status: Permanent, Full-Time — 2026–2027 Academic Year Start Date: Immediate ‍ Key Responsibilities Plan and develop teaching and learning activities aligned with the French curriculum. Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, providing appropriate support to those who are experiencing challenges while also encouraging advanced students to reach their full potential. Foster a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment that promotes focus, mutual respect, and active participation. Use the school’s technological tools, including computers, tablets, and learning management platforms, to enhance instruction and student progress monitoring. Assess students’ academic progress and level of competency development. Work closely with the educational team, student support team, and school administration, while maintaining regular and constructive communication with parents. Establish and maintain the conditions necessary to create an environment conducive to learning. Support and uphold the school’s philosophy, values, and educational vision. Monitor students’ academic progress and behaviour in collaboration with parents and the appropriate High School administration. Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development days, parent-teacher meetings, school events, and student-life activities. Perform any other related duties associated with the teaching role. Required Qualifications And Skills Bachelor’s degree in Education and a teaching certificate issued by the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec. Strong knowledge of the Quebec Education Program and an understanding of its objectives and requirements. Excellent command of French, both spoken and written. Previous teaching experience at the elementary or High School level is considered an asset. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Excellent organizational and planning abilities. A dynamic, motivated, and engaging approach to teaching. Sensitivity to and openness toward the culture and values of our school community.
