IMMEDIATE INTERIM OPPORTUNITY Title: Interim Vice President, Information Technology Reports: Executive Vice President, Corporate Services Duration: 6 Months Location: 100% remote Overview Our client, a mid-sized professional services organization, is seeking a seasoned technology professional to provide both operational leadership and strategic guidance during a period of organizational transition and modernization. This is not a traditional IT leadership role. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor and positive disruptor, helping the organization rethink how technology services are delivered, how digital investments are prioritized, and how technology can better enable business outcomes. The organization is seeking a leader who can rapidly assess the current environment, build credibility with stakeholders, and bring fresh thinking to both strategy and execution. Mandate The engagement has two primary objectives. Lead the IT Function Through a Period of Transition Provide leadership, stability, and direction to the IT team. Assess organizational capabilities, structure, processes, and service delivery models. Coach and support existing leaders while identifying opportunities for improvements. Ensure continuity of operations and delivery of key technology initiatives. Build confidence across the organization during the transition period. Strategic Advisor and Positive Disruptor Serve as a strategic partner to the EVP, Corporate Services. Challenge conventional thinking regarding technology investments, service delivery, and digital enablement. Identify opportunities to modernize the technology function and improve business alignment. Bring an external perspective regarding best practices and emerging trends. Help shape a future-state technology roadmap that supports organizational growth and efficiency. Assess the current talent and organizational structure providing key insights. Key Priorities CRM Transformation Provide executive leadership for a significant CRM implementation initiative. Ensure alignment between business requirements, technology capabilities, and user adopt strategies. Guide governance, stakeholder engagement, and change management activities. Drive successful implementation and realization of business benefits. AI and Digital Innovation Lead the organization's emerging AI strategy and related initiatives. Identify practical use cases that drive productivity, service improvements, and operational effectiveness. Develop governance frameworks and risk-management approaches for AI adoption. Partner with business leaders to ensure responsible and measurable. Implementation. Information Security Assessment Lead a comprehensive assessment of cybersecurity and information security capabilities. Evaluate current controls, risks, policies, governance, and infrastructure. Identify gaps and develop a prioritized remediation roadmap. Strengthen the organization's security posture and risk-management framework. Technology Modernization Review technology architecture, operating models, service delivery practices, and organizational design. Recommend opportunities to modernize systems, processes, and team structures. Help establish a longer-term technology strategy aligned with business objectives. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, customer experience, and employee productivity. Ideal Candidate Profile We are seeking a senior technology executive who combines strategic vision with practical operational leadership. The successful candidate will bring: Experience serving as a CIO, VP Information Technology, Chief Technology Officer, or similar senior technology leader. Proven success leading technology transformation and modernization initiatives. Strong experience operating within mid-sized organizations. Demonstrated expertise leading Microsoft-centric technology environments. Significant experience overseeing CRM implementations and digital transformation projects. Deep understanding of information security, cybersecurity governance, and risk management. Experience evaluating and reshaping technology operating models and organizational structures. Familiarity with AI strategy, governance, and implementation in business environments. Strong stakeholder management and executive influencing skills. Ability to act as a trusted advisor while constructively challenging existing assumptions and approaches. Personal Characteristics The ideal leader will be: Strategic and commercially minded.
