We are currently hiring a full-time Data Scientist to support our London Administration team. This job posting is for a newly created position. The Data Scientist’s role is to harness large and complex data assets, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence to optimize business results and enable better decision-making across Libro. The incumbent applies statistical techniques, machine learning, AI methods, and database analysis tools to develop strategic insights, predictive models, and intelligent solutions that advance business goals. The Data Scientist helps advance the state-of-the-art in how data, analytics, and AI are applied to solve problems within Libro and across the financial services industry. As a subject matter expert, they provide expertise on mathematical, statistical, machine learning, and AI concepts for broader applied analytics teams, including Business Intelligence, Insights & Research, and other stakeholders, while inspiring the responsible adoption of advanced analytics, data science, and AI across the organization. The base salary will be determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, education/training and internal equity. The Role Identifying AI, machine learning, and data-analytics opportunities that offer the greatest value to the organization Determines the correct data sets, features, variables, and AI-ready data requirements Collecting large sets of structured and unstructured data from disparate sources Cleaning, validating, and preparing data to ensure accuracy, completeness, uniformity, and suitability for AI, machine learning, and analytical modelling Devising and applying statistical models, machine learning techniques, and AI algorithms to extract value from large and complex data assets Develop and implement Machine Learning and AI model validation methodologies and standards, ensuring they align with industry best practice, responsible AI principles, regulatory expectations, audit requirements, and findings in a timely manner Test hypotheses, AI model outputs, and analytical results to ensure accuracy, reliability, explainability, and business relevance Identify, monitor, and mitigate bias in AI and machine learning models Interpret data, AI model outputs, and analytical results to discover solutions and opportunities Represents Libro to lead data, analytics, and AI projects with internal stakeholders, vendors, and other partners in the industry Communicate findings, AI-driven insights, and model recommendations to diverse internal and external stakeholders using visualization and other means, converting technical concepts into clear business language Provide recommendations for future projects, AI-enabled capabilities, and new features What We’re Looking For Master's degree in computer science or mathematics 5+ years’ experience within financial services and Python, with a strong experience in data science, analytics, AI, and machine learning 3+ years of experience across AI/ML, Azure, cloud data pipelines, SQL/PLSQL, SQL/NoSQL databases, data mining, Power BI, and large-scale data analytics Demonstrated ability to develop, validate, monitor, and operationalize AI/ML and analytical models that deliver business value Fluency with at least one scripting language such as R, Perl; experience with Java, C, and/or MATLAB is an asset Project management experience is an asset Knowledge of applicable data privacy, ethics, responsible AI practices, and related laws A passion for helping people grow their financial well-being Display Libro’s values of Accountability, Courage, High Performance and Inclusive Mindset We Offer Total Reward Programs to Set You Up for Success In & Outside of Work: Competitive salaries, benefit packages, pension plans, & incentive programs, that value your dedication.
