Job Summary Responsible for designing new products and improving/maintaining existing products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, proficiency in design software, and a keen eye for detail. Responsibility * Develop and design new products, components, and systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. * Create detailed technical drawings and specifications using CAD software. * Collaborate with engineers, production, and other stakeholders to refine designs and address technical challenges. * Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate design concepts. * Oversee the manufacturing process to ensure designs are produced accurately and efficiently. Academic/Educational Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. * Certification from a professional engineering body would be considered an asset. Required Skills/Experience * 5-7 year of proven experience as a Design Engineer or similar role. * Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. * Experience with simulation and analysis tools. * Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
