The role manages a team of 9 direct reports, sits within the Group Cost & Investment team and is responsible for financial support to the IPI Divisional Finance Directorate, with a total annual direct cost spend of c.£500m. This role provides challenge and insight and the need to demonstrate an un-questionable appetite to understand the Divisional Finance areas they support. Using knowledge of the cost drivers, they clearly and concisely articulate the story behind monthly results to senior customers, drive planning and forecasting activity and provide challenge and analysis to support the accuracy and robustness of the Finance BAU plans. Job Description Manages the development and/or delivery of budget planning process for own IPI Division Manage relationships with key IPI and CoE customers and act as their business partner, while typically using support teams to ensure client satisfaction. Embed the Lloyds Banking Group culture and vision through visible leadership, being a role model for the Group’s leadership behaviours. Makes authoritative technical and/or professional recommendations that have a significant short-term and long-term impact on the business. Writes and edits materials for a variety of target populations, tailoring the tone and content to match the needs and expectations of each audience. Develops and/or delivers a plan for significant aspects of the financial management and/or control process. Takes responsibility for implementing a team's formal development framework with guidance from senior colleagues, while informally coaching others throughout the organisation in area of expertise and pursuing and investing in opportunities for own personal development. Identifies shortcomings, then suggests and implements improvements to existing business practices, while developing and delivering projects or a workstream within the organisation's change management programme with guidance from senior colleagues. Develops and/or delivers a plan for a specific area of responsibility by managing others. Sets longer term objectives and takes responsibility for implementing and coordinating performance management systems for a substantial department within the organisation. Develops procedures and interprets and applies policy for area of expertise to achieve specified outputs, or advises the wider business on application of policy, then monitors implementation of those procedures within the organisation. Develops innovative solutions by integrating and analysing complex and diverse information sources. Develops and/or delivers elements of a strategic planning system with guidance from senior colleagues. Provide high quality partnering support to the Divisional Finance teams day to day. Identify and assess any risks to the cost profile across IPI BAU and work collaboratively with senior stakeholders to ensure actions are in place to mitigate. Run the full end to end Cost Allocation model (framework, design, processing) Provide guidance and support to direct reports, identifying development needs through regular check-ins and coaching them to be their best at work. Provide active engagement with other areas of the Centre of Excellence to ensure best in class standards of inputs/outputs.
