The Temporary Accommodation team are looking for a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced reactive role, has customer service at the heart of what they do and a “can do” attitude! You will be required to work as part of the Temporary Accommodation team to provide day-to-day housing management of the Council’s temporary accommodation for homeless households, supporting families under the government resettlement scheme. You will also be required to provide low level support to ensure residents are tenancy ready to access move on / independent living opportunities. The Temporary Accommodation team are based in offices just outside the vibrant city centre of Winchester. You will need to meet the travel requirements of the role as you will visit residents in our units of temporary accommodation across the district, as well as conducting health and safety visits at our schemes. If you are experienced in working in the housing sector with vulnerable households and like to work in an environment where no two days are the same – then this could be the job for you! We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing excellent customer service, who can work flexibly due to the reactive nature of the role, whilst remaining calm under pressure. You will need to be an excellent problem solver and a reliable team member to deliver positive outcomes to those individuals in the council’s temporary accommodation.
