Director of Food Service - CPG Food Manufacturer within GTA Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 4 days in-office, 1 day work-from-home eligibility Compensation: $130,000–$160,000 base salary + performance bonus + car allowance + mileage reimbursement + benefits Reports To: CEO Position Overview Our client, an established and fast-growing Canadian food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Director of Food Service to lead and expand its foodservice business across Canada and the United States. This senior-level position will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving profitable growth across multiple foodservice channels. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and expand market presence. Manage and grow relationships with national and regional foodservice distributors, GPOs, contract management companies, and multi-unit operators. Identify and secure new business opportunities across commercial and institutional foodservice channels. Lead key account negotiations, customer agreements, and strategic partnerships. Manage foodservice broker relationships and oversee channel performance. Develop sales forecasts, budgets, and annual business plans. Collaborate with internal teams to support product development, customer initiatives, and operational execution. Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging growth opportunities. Provide sales leadership and support future team development. Qualifications & Experience 8–10+ years of progressive sales experience within food manufacturing, CPG, or foodservice, including previous leadership experience. Proven success managing major foodservice accounts, including broadline distributors, GPOs, and/or contract management companies. Established industry relationships, demonstrated ability to generate new business, built strategic customer partnerships Experience managing brokers/distributors would be a strong asset Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and financial understanding. Strategic, entrepreneurial, and results-driven approach to sales leadership. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Post-secondary education in Business or a related discipline. Ability to travel within Canada and the United States as required.
