Adult and Continuing Education Teacher - Mathematics / Science - 1.0 FTE

The London District Catholic School Board is currently accepting applications for: Adult & Continuing Education Mathematics / Science Teacher at St. Patrick Adult & Continuing Education Senior Mathematics MBF3C, MAP4C (in-person) and Senior Mathematics and Science (on-line PLAR) The Successful Candidate Must have a Bachelor of Education Degree Must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers Intermediate/Senior Mathematics qualifications required Intermediate/Senior Science qualifications required Successful secondary teaching experience preferred Proficiency with D2L preferred Understanding of blended learning and on-line teaching pedagogy Experience in a Catholic school preferred Previous experience in continuing education programs an asset A working knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession A practicing Catholic with an active Catholic Faith life Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate or equivalent, or proof of initiation into the Roman Catholic Church Proficient knowledge & understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation & assessment techniques Current in understanding of research, integrating technology and best instructional practices Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment for all student Qualifications appropriate to the position are required. The teacher will deliver Senior Mathematics and Science instruction through both in-person and online formats. Responsibilities include managing classrooms and implementing Ontario curriculum and assessment techniques within a Catholic learning environment.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Education, be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, and possess Intermediate/Senior qualifications in Math and Science. A practicing Catholic faith and a Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate are required.
