We are looking for an upbeat and personable People Services Advisor for our Integrated Global Services branch located in Calgary or Toronto who is passionate about building relationships with leaders and employees allowing you to become a trusted advisor for both! You will be an advocate for our people, providing daily human resources support to Canada and the US, while enabling our managers to focus on what they do best. \n A Day in the Life: Provide daily HR support to the Integrated Global Services (IGS) branch Deliver high-quality service and advice to the IGS branch leadership team on employee relations and performance management situations Collaborate with the larger Long View People Services (PS) team to implement programs which help improve the employee experience Administer HR policies, procedures, programs and disability management Manage compensation changes and promotions Assist PS leadership with HR trending and analysis Manage HRIS & benefits administration Review quarterly vacation and sick time balances and handle escalated issues Manage onboarding of new hires Partner with leaders to proactively address employee relations, coaching through complex people situations before they escalate, with a focus on achieving fair, win‑win outcomes and supporting meaningful employee improvement and growth Support with Long View’s culture by fostering belonging through IGS initiatives, community engagement, and coordination of IGS fun events, including branch social and community impact activities Support the Health & Safety program for the branch Assist with international visas & various immigration matters Support the Career Life Planning process, including attending these sessions for employees each quarter What You Bring: 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant employee relations expertise Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation (AB, BC, ON) and working knowledge of U.S. employment legislation and HR practices Strong employee relations expertise with the ability to navigate sensitive and complex workplace situations while balancing business needs, risk, compliance, and employee experience Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations in Canada and the US High emotional intelligence, with a focus on taking care of people Excellent communication and organizational skills The ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities Sound judgment and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to forge and maintain effective and influential working relationships Passion for working with and helping others and creating a great employee experience Exceptional attention to detail Comfort working in a flexible and agile environment Education in human resources or related discipline What Makes You Extra Awesome: Working towards a CPHR / PHR or SHRM-CP certification Why Work at Long View: Great People and Culture Career Growth – Permanent staff positions, paid training, career life planning, and relocation and travel opportunities Flexible environment – A workplace that values the importance of flexibility for personal/professional growth, happiness and wellness Fun is one of our core values \n $60,000 - $75,000 a year Target salary range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000 per annum \n Want to learn more about our culture and life at Long View?
