Position: Meat Expert As a Meat Expert, Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include As a primarily guest-facing role, the Meat Expert is responsible for engaging with Guests in a friendly and professional manner, consistently delivering remarkable service. Sharing your knowledge of various meat cuts and recommending appropriate options based on Guests’ preferences and serving needs. Expertly cutting a variety of meats across all species for both display and custom Guest requests. Offering suitable product substitutes and helpful suggestions to meet individual Guest needs and preferences. Preparing specialty and custom meat cuts to order, ensuring precision and presentation quality. Advising Guests on proper cutting techniques, portion sizes, and preparation tips to elevate their cooking experience. Offering product samples and recommendations to assist Guests in making confident, informed purchasing decisions. Assisting with department setup, product displays, and maintaining a visually appealing presentation. Assisting with department closing procedures. Monitoring product freshness through regular date checks and effective stock rotation. Adhering to all food safety, health, and workplace safety regulations. What We're Looking For Proficient in meat cutting, including all species, with expert use of a bandsaw. Skilled in preparing meat for both back-of-house and service case presentation. In-depth knowledge of meat cuts and a variety of meat types. Outstanding guest service skills with a warm, approachable demeanor. Strong understanding of raw materials, production techniques, and quality control standards. A dependable team player who excels in collaborative environments. A genuine passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality products. Culinary background or experience is considered an asset Work Environment This position is based in a dynamic retail store setting.
