About The Opportunity LRO is working with a prestigious local law firm as their Corporate Law practice grows. This Associate position offers a junior lawyer with two plus years of relevant experience the opportunity to work directly with a diverse group of clients across sectors. Duties include but are not limited to: Working collaboratively in the firm’s Corporate Law practice on incorporations, mergers & acquisitions Contribute to commercial transactions with the opportunity to manage business purchase and sale independently Prepare commercial contracts, shareholder agreements, loan agreements and other commercial agreements Work on corporate reorganizations- providing advice regarding taxation implications About You The successful candidate will have the following: A Degree in Law from an accredited institution Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. A Minimum of two years of relevant experience in Corporate Law. A Strong desire to grow as a legal professional working with experienced lawyers in the short term, but with the drive to build the practice area long term Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to distinguish the firm with client-centric solutions Strong technical skills in document production, management and docketing About the Job This role is a full time, permanent opportunity with compensation of between $110,000 to $150,000 with an additional variable.
