HR Coordinator, Anticipatory Opportunities - Contract - 19354 About The Opportunity Our clients are seeking experienced HR Coordinators for upcoming contract opportunities in the Ottawa area. These positions may offer the opportunity to support a variety of human resources functions within professional and fast-paced environments, working closely with HR teams, managers, and employees. The ideal candidate will be an organized and detail-oriented HR professional who is comfortable supporting multiple areas of the employee lifecycle and enjoys contributing to efficient and responsive HR operations. Duties include but are not limited to: Supporting recruitment activities, including preparing job postings, coordinating interviews, preparing interview materials, and conducting reference checks Assisting with the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including coordinating documentation, equipment, and other administrative requirements Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records and ensuring HR documentation is complete and up to date Updating employee information within HRIS and other HR systems Supporting benefits administration, including employee enrollments, changes, and terminations Assisting with payroll-related tracking and maintaining accurate employee information Supporting the development, review, and updating of HR policies, procedures, and documentation Assisting with HR compliance activities and ensuring processes align with applicable employment legislation and organizational policies Coordinating employee training, learning and development initiatives, and related documentation Supporting employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, recognition programs, events, and internal communications Preparing HR reports, maintaining tracking tools, and monitoring the progress of HR initiatives Assisting with HR projects, process improvements, and other departmental initiatives Providing general administrative and operational support to the HR team as required About You The successful candidate will have the following: Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience At least two years of experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, or similar HR support role Working knowledge of key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits, and HR administration Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling employee information and HR documentation Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive employee and organizational information Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Experience working with an HRIS is considered an asset Experience with HR systems such as BambooHR, Workday, UKG, Dayforce, or similar platforms is considered an asset Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative HR team Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset Working toward a CHRP designation is considered an asset About the Job Future contract opportunities are expected to offer between $23.00 and $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and the requirements of the assignment.
