About The Opportunity LRO Staffing is proudly partnered an established National organization operating in the healthcare sector, seeking a hands-on Full Stack Developer for an initial six-month contract. The role is primarily remote, with preference for candidates located in the Ottawa area. You will join a collaborative Agile product team responsible for a mature enterprise web application that supports meaningful healthcare initiatives. The initial focus will be learning the platform through maintenance, defect resolution and targeted enhancements. As you gain product knowledge, you will transition into end-to-end development of new features across the Angular front end and Java/Spring back end. This is a strong opportunity for a driven junior-to-intermediate developer who wants substantive production experience, direct ownership of features and exposure to an established enterprise software environment. Duties include but are not limited to: Maintain, troubleshoot and enhance an established enterprise web application Build responsive front-end components and user workflows using Angular and TypeScript Develop and integrate Java/Spring services, business logic and REST APIs Take new features from backlog refinement and technical design through coding, testing, release and post-deployment support Contribute actively to daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, retrospectives and code reviews Collaborate with product, QA and DevOps colleagues to deliver stable, high-quality releases Work within cloud-based, Docker/containerized development and delivery environments Independently investigate unfamiliar code, resolve defects and clearly explain technical issues to teammates and stakeholders About You The successful candidate will have the following: At least 3 years of professional software development experience, ideally supporting web-based or enterprise products Strong recent hands-on experience with Angular and TypeScript; this is the primary front-end requirement Practical experience developing backend applications with Java and Spring or Spring Boot Experience with Azure Cloud, Healthcare applications is a bonus Exposure to microservices, Kubernetes, Linux, MongoDB or MySQL Experience building, integrating and maintaining REST APIs and cloud/web-based applications Demonstrated experience maintaining existing production software as well as delivering new features end to end Working knowledge of Docker, containerization, CI/CD and DevOps-based delivery practices Experience contributing within an Agile/Scrum team and taking ownership of sprint commitments Strong foundational coding and debugging skills, with the ability to independently write, explain and support the code you produce A post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience About the Job Full-time, Hybrid in Ottawa or Remote across Canada 1 position available, start asap $28.00 to $30.00/hr + depending on experience LROIT How To Apply Please apply by clicking the “Apply Now” button below and follow the instructions to submit your résumé.
