Job summary
We are currently seeking experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Levack Mine! The Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Magna Mining’s electrical systems, infrastructure, and equipment across underground and surface operations. All Magna Mining team members are expected to work collaboratively with others, lead the way in health and safety, act with honesty, integrity, and foster an entrepreneurial spirit in pursuit of excellence. Responsibilities: Provide electrical engineering support for underground and surface mining operations. Support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of electrical systems and equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and operational issues in a timely manner. Assist with electrical projects, upgrades, installations, and commissioning activities. Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs. Ensure compliance with company standards, electrical codes, and safety regulations. Participate in risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses. Review and maintain electrical drawings, documentation, and technical records. Work closely with operations, maintenance, contractors, and technical teams to support production objectives. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance and operations teams. Participate in field inspections and troubleshooting activities as required. Requirements Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility considered an asset. Work Experience: Nature & Length 3+ years of electrical engineering experience in a mining in underground mining operations Key Competencies: Behaviours & Skills Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational and project coordination skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
