An exciting opportunity exists at Cobra Electric Services Ltd. for an Estimator & Project Manager to join our growing team. This is a newly created, full-time (Monday - Friday) leadership position based out of our office/yard in Port Kells. You will work closely with various municipalities and contractors on projects that include but are not limited to: * Traffic signal modifications such as; traffic cabinet equipment, signal timing, lighting, communications, and detection systems. * Street lighting modifications such as; streetlight relocation, new streetlight installations, and LED fixture upgrades. The successful candidate shall have the following qualifications: * Prior experience in the Electrical industry is recommended. * Minimum ten (10) years project manager and/or estimating experience. * Class 5 Driver’s License is required. * Extensive experience and competency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Adobe PDF). * Excellent organization, time management and negotiation skills. * Excellent technical, analytical and numerical skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * General knowledge of highway infrastructure is an asset. Job duties include, but are not limited to: * Estimating * Initial review of tender documentation (i.e. scope of work, specs, drawings, etc.) * Material and labour takeoffs * Document control of tender addendums, request for quotes and request for information * Completion of tender submission documents * Request quotes from suppliers on technical and specialized equipment * Project Management * Management of administrative and field staff * Coordinates traffic plan accommodation developments and strategies * Plan, schedule, and execute awarded projects to meet client requirements * Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and milestones * Procure materials, equipment, and subcontractors * Coordinate with field crews, operations, and external stakeholders * Monitor cost vs. budget and take corrective actions as required * Identify risks and resolve technical or operational issues * Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements * Track and manage change orders and claims * Support invoicing, progress billing, and collections Why Join Cobra Electric?
