Hiring Company: Major Drilling Group International Inc. Position: Heavy Duty Mechanic Start Date: September 1, 2026 Job Type: Permanent Full-time/ 10 available positions. Work for one of the largest drilling companies internationally, supplying services to the mining and geological exploration industries! Primary responsibilities include: * Diagnoses, maintenance and repair of heavy-duty equipment including but not limited to, surface and underground drills, bulldozers, farming equipment and other heavy equipment. * Maintenance and repairs may include engines, transmissions, cooling systems, generators, fuel and exhaust systems and clutches. * Test and repair hydraulic systems with a flow meter and schematics on a variety of equipment. * Ability to diagnose problems with 12-24v DC electrical/electronics, including engines, heating systems, start and charging systems. * Maintain a close working relationship with the crew, colleagues, and Supervisors, notifying Supervisor of any repair issues. * Tasks are not limited to the above and other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Qualifications/Education: * Minimum 3 years’ experience with underground, long hole and exploration drills and mining equipment (Preferred). * A mechanical background and aptitude, with skills in operating and maintaining machinery. * A current registered driver’s license is preferred. * Be physically fit and have good physical dexterity. * Prefer working outdoors. * Must be able to pass drug and alcohol tests, as well as random tests as required. * Grade 12 * A valid First Aid level C * Ability to work with limited supervision and be accountable for your actions. * Able to travel, work long hours & shift work for extended periods (camp setting). Be adaptive to living without the normal comforts of home and under prevailing climatic conditions. * Ability to problem solve - Find a solution for or deal proactively with work-related problems. * Have a positive attitude. * Maintain confidentiality. Applicants must possess a work history that highlights the following combination of skills and experience: Previous experience in the diamond drill industry is an asset. Preferred candidates will be self-motivated, have strong communication and problem-solving skills, be well-organized, work well with others and be interested in making a change. On-the-job training is provided. Wages: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour. Hours: 12-hour shifts, for 28 days straight, followed by 14 days off. Requirements

Requires a Grade 12 education, First Aid Level C, and preferably 3 years of experience with underground mining equipment. Candidates must be physically fit, able to pass drug tests, and comfortable with a nomadic camp lifestyle.
