Job summary
The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) is the democratically elected National Government of the Red River Métis, also known as the Manitoba Métis. The Red River Métis are a distinct Indigenous Nation and People, and Canada's Negotiating Partners in Confederation and the Founders of the Province of Manitoba. The Red River Métis Marketplace is the retail division of ESGS, a proud Affiliate of the Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF), the National Government of the Red River Métis. ESGS Inc. seeks to fill one full-time Administrative Coordinator position located at 25 Ray Marius Road in Winnipeg, MB. The Administrative Coordinator will assist in overseeing, monitoring and coordinating the day-to-day administrative operations of ESGS, including both the Procurement and Retail divisions. Job Duties/Competencies: * Provide administrative and coordination support to the General Manager and management team; * Coordinate and manage calendars, meetings, correspondence, and travel arrangements; * Establish and maintain administrative procedures, tracking tools, and organize electronic and hard-copy filing systems; * Draft, proofread, and format correspondence, reports, forms, briefing notes, and other administrative documents; * Maintain accurate financial records and documentation such as cheque requisitions, purchase orders, and travel claims; * Assist with financial reporting, monthly reconciliations, remittances, budget and cash flow preparation, and expenditure tracking. Skills and Qualifications: * Post Secondary education in Business Administration or related field(s); * Minimum 3 years’ experience in administrative support position or equivalent role; * Experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and PowerPoint; * Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills; * Experience working with boards and/or committees is preferred; * Experience working for a not-for-profit organization and Indigenous community is an asset; * Knowledge of Red River Métis culture, and MMF programs and services is a definite asset; and, * Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle.
