TrueSpec is ISO 9001 certified and registered under the Controlled Goods Program. www.truespecmachining.com We are looking for an experienced CNC Milling Set-up Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong machining-centre set-up experience and be comfortable working with CNC milling equipment, tooling, offsets, inspection and program adjustments. Responsibilities CNC Milling Set-up & Operation Set up and operate CNC machining centres for new and repeat jobs. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings and job specifications. Select and install appropriate cutting tools, holders and workholding. Set tool offsets, work coordinates and other machine parameters. Make program and offset adjustments as required to meet blueprint specifications. Perform tool changes and make adjustments to maintain part quality and cycle times. Run first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments. Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain quality and minimize scrap. Troubleshoot machining, tooling and quality issues and make appropriate adjustments. Complete secondary operations as required. Understand speeds, feeds, tooling and their effect on machining performance and cycle time. Work with supervisors and other shop personnel to resolve production and quality issues. Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all company safety procedures. Requirements & Skills Must be eligible to work in Canada. Minimum 1 year of CNC machining-centre set-up experience, with strong milling experience. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings. Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers and gauges. Experience with Fanuc controls and CNC machine code. Proficient with Fusion 360 design software. Ability to make program, tooling and offset adjustments independently. Good understanding of cutting tools, speeds and feeds. Ability to troubleshoot machining and quality issues. Ability to work independently while also working effectively with a small production team. Experience using 3D printers for fixture, tooling, or production-related applications is an asset. Demonstrated machining knowledge gained through education and hands on experience. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required, following safe lifting procedures.
