This Opportunity: We are currently looking to fill 1 Permanent Part-Time Personal Support Worker (Internally known as Support Services Attendant) position in our Jason’s House Congregate Care Program, located at 66 West 28th Street, Hamilton. Wage: $19.24 per hour Hours: up to 29 hours per week, with an average of 24 hours per week. Schedule: Shift work including days, evenings, and midnights. Responsibilities: The Support Services Attendant provides frontline support to medically fragile clients in a congregate care setting. Duties include: · Assisting consumers with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures, including: Personal care Showering and toileting routines Bowel and bladder routines Medication support G-tube care Lifts and transfers Rising and retiring Meal preparation and feeding Range of motion exercises Laundry and housekeeping Attending medical appointments with clients Supporting clients with recreation and community activities · Performs duties in a professional manner that respects the dignity and right to privacy of consumers and maintains consumer and staff health and safety. Qualifications: · High School diploma or equivalent · Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification · Experience working with people with physical disabilities and/or experience, knowledge, or understanding of Independent Living or consumer-based care · Knowledge of and ability to perform transferring, lifting, bowel and bladder routines, and other attendant care duties · Physical Demands Self-Analysis required upon hire · Good interpersonal and communication skills · Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours, including days, evenings, and midnight shifts Questions about working at March of Dimes Canada? Requirements

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and possess current Standard First Aid and CPR certification. Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities and the ability to perform physical attendant care duties are required.
