Position Summary Reporting to the Fleet Manager, this position is responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of vehicles, trailers, and equipment within our fleet. This role is key to keeping our fleet in safe, reliable, and compliant operating condition, supporting smooth day-to-day operations across construction and snow season. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and experience maintaining fleet or heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Fleet & Equipment Maintenance Perform maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, trucks, and fleet assets Diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete mechanical repairs as required Support seasonal fleet readiness for snow operations and peak construction periods Preventive Maintenance Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce downtime Monitor equipment condition and flag repairs or replacements as needed Support equipment lifecycle tracking Systems & Reporting Complete and close work orders using eMaint Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and compliance documentation Safety & Compliance Follow safety standards, manufacturer requirements, and regulatory obligations Support inspections, audits, and corrective actions as required Qualifications Certified mechanic or equivalent hands-on mechanical experience (landscaping, construction, or heavy equipment preferred) Experience with truck/trailer and heavy equipment maintenance and repair Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compensation & Benefits Salary range based on experience Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off Opportunities for growth and advancement within a fast-growing company Supportive, team-oriented workplace environment Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Dental care, Vision care, Paid time off, On-site parking Work Location: In person – Burlington, ON
