Job summary
MatchBox Consulting is urgently seeking a Software Developer for a 6 month contract role at our New Westminster based public sector client. This is a hybrid role 2 days on site and 3 days remote. Software Developer Requirements Design, develop, deploy, and test software applications and application interfaces, working collaboratively with peers to ensure all information systems meet development standards for usability, operability, performance, and end-user requirements by: Performing system-level analysis from requirements through deployment. Designing and developing reusable code components; reviewing code developed by other developers to confirm adherence to development standards. Performing unit and integration testing of components and systems. Implementing changes across corporate websites, including integration with Sitecore CMS, Azure Entra ID, and other third-party services as required. Building and deploying web apps, app services, function apps, SQL Server databases, and private endpoints using Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. Analyzing business requirements and contributing to application architecture, integration, technology choices, and development strategy. Implementing infrastructure automation (create/destroy) using Terraform (IaC) and Azure DevOps build pipelines. Integrating Azure Application Insights and other health monitoring and/or security tools as required. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE 3+ years of experience in C# and .NET development. Familiarity with API integrations and microservices. Experience with containerized application development (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud-native deployment, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience provisioning and configuring Azure resources using Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines preferred. Experience working in Scrum/Agile environments. Nice to Have: Experience with core shared services (Azure Front Door, Application Gateway, and APIM). Experience working in a unionized environment.
