The Mathnasium Method™, created by Chief Instructional Officer Larry Martinek, is a proven, customized instructional approach guided by individual assessments. Through personalized instruction, proprietary worksheets, and engaging math games, Mathnasium builds number sense, confidence, and a lasting appreciation for math in a fun and supportive environment. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Math Instructors at Mathnasium – The Math Learning Center in Oakville, ON. Math Instructors will provide personalized math instruction to students from early grades through high school, using the Mathnasium Method™ and center-approved teaching materials. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding learners through worksheets and activities, explaining concepts in clear and engaging ways, and adapting instruction to individual needs based on assessments. Instructors will support lesson implementation, monitor student progress, maintain a positive and inclusive learning space, and communicate with center leadership and families as needed. The role involves working as part of a collaborative instructional team to deliver high-quality math education and uphold Mathnasium’s standards of safety and academic excellence. Qualifications Strong foundation in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with the ability to explain concepts clearly across grade levels. Experience or training as a Qualified Teacher or instructor, with skill in adapting teaching methods to diverse learners. Ability to contribute to Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development aligned with the Mathnasium Method™. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient, encouraging, and learner-centered approach. Experience working with children or adolescents in educational or tutoring settings. Ability to work on-site in Oakville, ON, following center schedules and procedures. Post-secondary coursework or a degree in mathematics, education, or a related field is an asset.
