Located in the heart of Muskoka, MBRP has always been an employer of choice. We are seeking motivated Machine Operators to join our team. This position is on-site and operates on a continental 12-hour shift schedule (36 to 48 hours per week). AI is not used in any stage of the recruiting process. This posting is for existing vacancies on both day and night shifts. Employees working the night shift will receive a $1.50 per-hour night shift premium in addition to their regular hourly wage. Responsibilities: * Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations * Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that MBRP requires to be used or worn * Report to your Supervisor the absence or defect in any equipment or protective device of which you are aware and which may endanger yourself or another worker * Report to your Supervisor any contravention of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations or the existence of any hazard you observe * Comply with MBRP Policies and Procedures that apply * Report to Team Leader Job Specific Duties: * Read specifications or follow verbal instructions * Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines such as shears, power presses, saws, plate rolls, drills, brakes, slitters, punch presses, computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment, and other hand tools to cut, bend, roll, ream, punch and drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products * Operate machines or equipment which weld, solder, bolt, screw or rivet metal parts together * Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications * Troubleshoot and perform corrective action or minor repairs * May select and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist * May document work completed * May build staging or erect scaffolding as required for heavy metalworking jobs * May clean or lubricate equipment and replace parts as required. * Operate small tooling * Perform physical lifting, bending, standing * Accurately complete daily production paperwork * Follow standardized work procedures & standardized quality checks * Inspect for basic quality issues * Lifting up to 45 lbs., single lift * Counting up to 200 * Palletize boxed product * Work in a safe manner * Ability to drive a forklift an asset. Can be trained when/if required Preferred Skills * High level of attention to detail * Ability to work as part of a team * Comfortable utilizing basic computer skills * Problem solving * Versatile and flexible to learn other skills as required NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
