The Faculty of Engineering, Dean’s Office is seeking a Student Research Assistant to assist the Integrating AI to Reshape Engineering Pedagogy project (funded through Entente Canada-Quebec). Primary Responsibilities Conduct a comprehensive literature review and environmental scans on best practices for integrating AI content into undergraduate engineering programs. With the Research project team, review McGill engineering programs and identify where AI literacy and applied AI knowledge and skills should be embedded. Work with instructors to create AI modules and projects for engineering courses. With the project team, support the development of learning outcomes, a course plan, and draft instructional content for a Fundamental AI in Engineering course. Contribute to the development of conference presentations and academic articles. Participate in an AI in engineering education working group. Attend weekly 30-minute team meetings. Job Requirements/Minimum Education/ Experience Possesses subject matter expertise acquired through undergraduate studies in various Engineering programs at McGill. Active McGill student in various Engineering programs at McGill. Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities Students applying should indicate knowledge/experience in any of the following areas: Engineering education Applied artificial intelligence or generative AI Organization and time management skills Effective communication skills Ability to interact with instructors Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools Familiarity with web conferencing technology (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom) Before applying, please note that to work at McGill University, you must be both authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.
