Job Summary Rehabilitation Consultants are responsible for providing medical and vocational rehabilitation services to insured individuals on disability. They act as key liaisons and negotiators with employers, unions, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to facilitate a successful return to work. Key responsibilities Provide confidential and objective support as a third party to employees facing obstacles that prevent them from returning to work Manage return-to-work initiatives by acting as a liaison with employers, healthcare providers, and rehabilitation professionals Build and maintain a network of service providers across all regions where the company operates Review, analyze, and approve intervention mandates assigned to external providers to ensure relevance and quality of outcomes Participate in meetings with service providers, clients, brokers, and insured individuals Ensure excellence in services delivered by various providers and contribute to developing selection criteria and quality measures Take part in committees analyzing group experience and results Contribute to special projects such as system enhancements, tool selection, procedure development, new reports and ratios, and national committees Required Qualifications Post-secondary education in medical or rehabilitation management, or any related field 3 to 5 years’ experience as rehabilitation consultant or as a clinical rehabilitation services coordinator for third party payers (insurers). Bilingualism in English and French is required to perform the duties of this role, which include daily collaboration with teams and partners across Canada who operate in both English and French Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of medical and contractual fields Required Competencies Organizational flexibility Strong analytical and decision-making skills Planning and organizational abilities Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships Conflict management skills Initiative and autonomy We've got you covered!
