This job is for a current vacancy. The Role: Medcan is recruiting for Sonographers to join our growing high-performance clinical team. We are seeking an experienced and client focused professional with a great attitude. The role is accountable for the effective delivery of ultrasound procedures for clients during their Annual Health Assessment and other services at Medcan. This role will also assist with facilitating the flow of patients through the Clinic and coordinating with other staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service. This position is located at Medcan’s Markham location at 600 Cochrane Drive. What You'll Do: Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization and patient safety protocols, policies and procedures. Review patient medical history, evaluate contraindications, obtain patient consent, perform required ultrasound examinations and document findings. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and basic quality control checks. Ensure sonography exam results meet facility standards for quality assurance. Coordinate with cross functional clinic teams to ensure exceptional service and client experience. What You'll Need: 1+ years of experience as a sonographer performing examinations such as abdominal exams Breast, transvaginal and transrectal experience an asset Member of the CMRITO Ultrasound ARDMS certification Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to work independently and collaboratively This is a full-time role schedule for 40 hours per week scheduled between Monday-Saturday. This role sits primarily at our Markham clinic but requires flexibility to commute to our Toronto clinic at 150 York St. for training periods. Training requirements will be discussed in further detail if you are selected for an interview. Position Pay Range $73,699.00 - $101,335.00 CAD annually Pay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications within the role's compensation grade. Medcan's compensation ranges are determined by a combination of required qualifications and skills, market value, and internal equity.
