We are seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of industrial vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities: * Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, including trucks, loaders, and forklifts * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems * Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and implement effective solutions * Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams * Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records, and monitor parts inventory * Work collaboratively with operations and production teams to minimize downtime * Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) Qualifications & Requirements: * Completion of secondary school required * Completion of a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic apprenticeship or minimum 5 years of relevant experience * Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy machinery * Experience working with industrial trucks, forklifts, and other mobile equipment * Physically capable of handling heavy equipment in a workshop and field environment * Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills: * Welding and fabrication skills (asset) * Forklift and heavy equipment certification * Experience in waste management or industrial operations Work Conditions: * Physically demanding role, involving lifting, bending, and standing * Exposure to noise, dust, grease, and heavy machinery * Overtime and weekend work may be required Benefits: * Competitive wages and overtime pay * Extended health and dental benefits * Professional development opportunities * Supportive, safety-focused team environment Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
